Canned Heat is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965.
Ohio born, James Thornbury (slide guitar and lead vocals) was front man from 1985 for the next ten years. As a soloist he now plays acoustic folk and blues originals. Can often be persuaded to bust out a Canned Heat favourite; he says he knows “a few of ’em”.
