Antiri

Antiri joins us at our Feb 2023 Warmup Event! Straight after their Woodfordia debut. Seeing and playing good tunes is the aim of Antiri, taking it’s name from Palantiri in the Tolkien’s Elvish world.
Samuel De Santi, who leads the project, has been seeking and playing tunes in the folk tradition since age 5. For over 20 years Sam has experienced a number of musical traditions – Australian, Italian and of course Celtic. Playing guitar, violin and tenor banjo (not all at the same time) Sam will be joined by young Celtic accordion protege Jack Memaris, the versatile and innovative Benja King on double bass, the delicate and tasteful backing of Paul Henderson (Estampa) on guitar and the effervescent energy of Andre Bonetti on percussion. Be ready for a virtuosic musical tapestry.
