Festival Information 🌟

  • Cool Nights Alert: Even if the days are sunny and glorious, it can get chilly at night up on the range. So don’t forget those winter woolies to keep cozy after dark! ❄️🧣
  • Cash-Free Zone: We’re a mostly cash-free event, so plan ahead and bring your cards! Need to grab cash? EFTPOS facilities are available in town, only a short walk along the Obi Obi creek.
  • Food & Drinks: All dietary needs will be well-catered for within the festival, but also lots of spots to grab food and drinks in town. Not a morning person? No worries—we’ve got plenty of coffee opening early to fuel your day. ☕💥
  • Township Supplies: Forgot something? The township’s got your back with all the essentials. If you’re in need of camping gear,  Maleny Hardware and Rural stock a large range of camping and 4WD supplies.
  • No Dogs on the Oval: Sorry, dog lovers! Your pooch isn’t allowed on the unpowered camping oval or inside the festival itself. But if you’re on a powered site, they can chill with you there. 🐕
  • How do I get a refund? 💸Unfortunately we cannot provide a refund for change of mind or poor weather conditions, if you have changed your mind, you can use Humanitix if you need to resell your Tickets. Read how HERE


Camping Information

  • Powered Campsites: Powered camping can we add SOLD OUT for this festival. Plenty of unpowered sites available.⚡
  • No Dogs on the Oval or at the Festival: Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the unpowered camping oval or inside the festival itself. However, if you’re on a powered site, your furry friend can stay with you at your campsite. 🐾

Q) Who can camp at the festival?

Camping is available with a full festival ticket only. No camping available for those coming for one day I am sorry, there is just not enough room. Camping is per person for the full festival weekend. Camping will sell out!

Q) Can I choose where I camp?

Powered campers will be directed to the Tennis Courts area with additional powered campsites available on Aub Cork Oval.

Unpowered campers who arrive on Thursday will be directed to the Pony Club camping area. The Festival Oval (Aub Cork Oval) will be ready for unpowered campers on Friday.

Q) What do I do if I have accessibility requirements.

All ticket holders will be allocated a camp site at the festival. If you have an accessibility request, we have allocated some campsites on the Festival Oval (Aub Cork Oval) just for you. The Festival Oval (Aub Cork Oval) will be closed on Thursday but ready to accept campers on Friday.

CONTACT US via the website before 1 November to secure a spot.

There will be no spots left on the weekend of the festival, /they will all be allocated prior to the festival We must know beforehand.

Q) What day can I arrive? / How long can I stay?

The Campgrounds will be not available the week before the festival from Sunday to Wednesday. Your festival ticket includes camping from Thursday to Sunday night. You are welcome to arrive from 4pm Thursday and vacate by 10am Monday. Anything outside of these times please contact the showgrounds for an additional stay.

Campers who arrive on Thursday will be directed to the Tennis Court Powered camping area or the Pony Club camping Unpowered camping area. The festival oval (Aub Cork camping area) is not accessible until Friday.

Q) What time should I arrive?

Camping volunteers will be on site from 4-8pm on Thursday and again from 11am to 7pm Friday. There will be someone at the main gate to direct you to your camping area. Please arrive between these times.

The ticket gates team will be open until 8pm Friday for any late arrivals.

If you are arriving outside of these times, please be patient on arrival, a friendly volunteer will help you find a camping spot.

Q) What if we have a large group?

If you are part of a large group such as a caravan club or campers of 10 or more, we can allocate a location for you. Please reach out to arrange this before the festival. CONTACT US via the website before 1 November to secure a spot.

If you and a couple of your friends want to camp together but you have booked separately and are arriving at different times, that’s OK, the first person to arrive should let the camping team know how many will be on your camping site and the team will allocate you the required space for when your friends arrive. Please note that Powered and Unpowered camping is in different areas of the Showground.

If you are part of a group who have booked Powered and Unpowered camping and would like to be placed together, CONTACT US via the website before 1 November.

Access and Inclusion Information

  • Do I need to bring a chair?
    No need to pack a chair! Maleny Music Festival provides plenty of seating for everyone. The festival area is small, the ground is flat, and there’s a concreted walking path between the two main venues and the powered campgrounds.
  • Is the festival wheelchair accessible?
    Absolutely! Both main stages, Bunya and Platypus, are located inside wheelchair-accessible buildings. There’s also a disability access toilet at the Bunya stage and parking for those with disabilities at the southern ticket gate. Other stages are located on a flat, grassed area for easy movement.
  • Do you accept Companion Cards?
    Yes! We welcome Companion Cards. Purchase one ticket, and simply show your current valid Companion Card at the gate for free entry for the cardholder. Both you and your companion will be granted access when you enter together.
  • Can I bring young children?
    Definitely! The festival is all ages and family-friendly. Kids are free and teens are half price. We have a dedicated children’s tent, The Hub, with games and entertainment all weekend long. It’s a small, easy-to-navigate festival, perfect for kids, parents, and even grandma! 🎉👶👵

Why not extend your festival experience and spend a few extra days exploring the beautiful Sunshine Coast region? There’s so much to see and do!

  • Go bushwalking 🥾: Discover lush rainforests and scenic trails of Glasshouse Mountains
  • Hit the beach 🏖️: Relax or catch some waves at one of the stunning coastlines of nearby Caloundra. Or for a local dip, head to Gardner Falls in Maleny where you can dive or rope swing into the deep water.
  • Drive the range 🚗: Enjoy breathtaking views as you wind through the hinterland on the Blackall Ranges Scenic tourist drive.  Venture to Kenilworth, Glasshouse, and Nambour for unique small-town charm.
  • Still need more music? Thursday night before the festival, head to Club Acoustic, Maleny RSL only $10 entry. Sunday afternoon there is Jazz in the Forest at Spicers Retreats, just down the road from Gardners Falls on the way home. Or stay an extra night, to enjoy Maleny Lane Front Up Club on Monday night.
  • Shop and Eat local 🍽️🛍️: Check out the charming local shops in Montville, Maleny, and Mapleton.  Maple Street Maleny is only a short walk away from the festival. Savor fresh, organic produce from the region’s markets and restaurants.
  • Visit Mary Cairncross Park 🌿: Walk through this rainforest reserve and enjoy panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains.
  • Make the most of your trip and dive into everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer!
