For Getano music, dance, storytelling and humour were an influential and integral part of his childhood, growing up in an extended Torres Strait Islander Family.
With a mixture of musical styles, from Latin, Blues and Reggae to Folk he has shared the stage with such artists as: Soweto String Quartet, Lou Reed, Shane Howard, Joe Giea, Archie Roach, Christine Anu and The Wurrupi Band to name but a few.
