Piasawello’s music draws on the cultural influences carried by members of the band – West African, Eastern and Classical European, dedication to discipline, and a sense of humour. The music is rhythmic enough to be loved by Tango dancers, sweet enough to be a balm for the heart, and interesting enough for the curious and lovers of novelty. Each piece is both carefully “crafted” and gives space for passages of improvisation from all players – a beautiful combination of organisation and freedom!
