Sapphic Sailors Kristy Capstanfield and Elyse Fishpatrick have been performing together since someone handed them a beer at the circus in 2019. They’ve since been hauling on the harmonies and heaving on the accordion at their Meanjin event Shanty Club with The Salty Sirens, sharing traditional sea shanties and sea songs with a modern, queer twist.
